About Alaska
Alaska encompasses an area one-fifth the size of the continental United
States, and has 3,000 rivers, 3 million lakes, 19 mountains higher than
14,000 feet, and more than 5,000 glaciers. It's a wonderful place for
outdoor adventures. Give yourself lots of time to explore it all, from the
lush rain forest of Southeast Alaska, to the beautiful Kenai Peninsula, to
the magnificence of Denali National Park to the Artic reality of Kotzebue
and Nome.
